Do you do nails as a part of the grooming session?

Yes on every dog grooming appointment nails and paw pads are cleaned and clipped.

Some dogs have long quicks, so nails can still appear longer, I only go as far to the quick for safety reasons.

Filing nails with a Dremel takes longer so an additional fee of $5 will be added to the Dog Grooming fee.

How long should I plan for my dog to be with you?

I always ask for approximately 3 hours for each dog, this is because I offer rest breaks and allow time to bathe and dry another dog while your dog is resting.

My studio is calm and relaxed.

If your dog needs a speedy appointment due to barking or distress, then additional fees may apply as this would be classes as a private appointment if you dog needs time alone due to anxiety.

Could the price change on the day of my appointment?

If you are a casual visitor and your dog is matted, or needs more time do to behaviour/ wriggliness or because you have not had your go with a groomer for a while (I go off coat condition) then I will assess and quote.

By booking the appointment you agree that the price is an approximate estimate and this may vary with a honest chat, I am time based - so if the groom takes longer due to special needs, I have to price fairly for my time. Please refer to the pricing page on the She Grooms website.

Will my dog be safe with you?

Absolutely, I am strict with how many people come and go and I like a quiet space, so I only have the one customer coming or returning within your appointment time. Dogs are supervised at all times and will only be crated if they wish to be away and feel secure. Crates are perfect for dogs who want to sleep and feel safe. I have full view of the dogs in my care at all times. The dogs that visit me are like my family.

Are you covered by insurance for my dog?

Yes I do, I have insurance for any 'at fault’ incidents at my studio. It will not cover any pre existing issues or problems occurred at home.

Should I clip or Handstrip my dog?

Not all dogs need clipping or stripping, best we have a good chat to discuss your dog's coat and what your desired outcomes are. Every dog is different, however most terrier (unless very senior) should start their handstripping journey early.

Do you use conditioner?

Always, this is a vital step to assist with hydration of the skin and coat. The shampoo and conditioners I use are mixed, I like to use products that suit the dogs type of coat the best.

How will you contact me on the day?

Please allow 3 hours of your day to be without your dog, please be available to pick up your dog 30 minutes after I text you that your dog will be ready for collection, all spruced and smelling divine!

Do you take card payment?

Yes, I have a square payment machine, which accepts all cards. Unfortunately, no Bank Transfer is generally available.

Do you have a booking calendar?

No at this stage I manage my diary by hand, however, I do advise you rebook your appointment with me when you pick up your dog if you would like a regular schedule with me, this avoids disappointment if you decide to book when you feel your dog needs a groom, I usually only have appointments available for 6 weeks ahead. Cancellations lists do not exist as we are all very time poor these days.

What happens if my dog is sick on the day, or I cancel on the day?

Less than 24-48 hours' notice, a 50% charge of the scheduled groom will be required (for on-the-day cancellation) as I am unable to fulfil the appointment. No appointment will be rebooked until this is paid by bank transfer.
